X-Men Fact File

Warren Worthington was born, as they say, with a silver spoon in his mouth. The heir to a fortune, life seemed as though it would always be easy for him. Even when his feathery wings sprouted at puberty, proclaiming his mutant genes for all to see, he never despaired. One of the original five X-Men, along with Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Beast and Iceman, he always seemed to be the light-hearted, high flying Angel. And indeed, his life was relatively easy, despite the many battles that he fought alongside the X-Men.
He probably, out of the X-Men, apart from Cyclops, loved Professor Xavier the most. He looked up to him as a father figure.

However, because each X-Man had something to hide but wanted to desperately show it off at the same time, Warren never complained too much. He realised it could have been worse for him. Cyclops, for example can never take off his visor without wearing ruby tinted protective glasses. He would never be able to see properly again. At least Angel could use every part of his body properly without having any consequences.
