It is uncertain how Scott come to live in Xaviers School For Gifted Youngsters. Scott was one of the first five X-Men, and leader to the X-Men. Professor Xavier gave him the code name of Cyclops because of his visor he wears. And because Professor Xavier has taught him all his life he looks up to Xavier more that any of his other first four team mates, Marvel Girl, Beast, Angel and Iceman. He decides that The Professor has saved him from human protection but still believes in The Professors dream, to fight for a golden age between humans and mutants. Because of this dream he always puts others before himself and, even if it kills him, then he shall put more energy into saving others.
He is unable to turn off his energy blast from his eyes. To prevent the energy blast draining him constantly and harming others he weirs a visor with red rock to stop the energy blast. He also has a pair of glasses to blend into a near normal life. At maximum power his energy blast can seriously harm Scott and will be knocked out for a short period of time. Even through the risk of his own life, he shall still use his maximum intensity beam if it would save another X-Man.
